A few days ago, someone asked this question in a group I belong to.
He said…
“With the rise of AI tools, will freelance copywriting decline and die?”
Here’s what I always say when people ask this:
Even if there’s an AI tool that can automatically write perfect emails, there will always be businesses that will never use AI or write their own emails.
For example…
A chiropractor isn’t going to stop running his clinic just to sit down and write email campaigns.
No matter how good the tools get, he’ll stay focused on his main business.
And he’s not alone.
Many other business owners will do the same thing.
Bottom line: Copywriters will STILL have jobs.
However, with AI, one copywriter can now do the job of five.
So yes, AI will definitely affect copywriters both positively and negatively.
But it won’t completely kill the profession.
With that said…
This is a wake-up call for all copywriters.
The competition is going to get stiffer.
So start thinking of what to do.
#1- Start building offers you can sell with your skill.
#2- Partner with content creators who have large audiences but don’t know how to monetize them.
#3- Don’t just offer copywriting services alone…
Start building and selling your own offers.
Hope this helps.
Here’s a quick summary:
#1 – AI won’t completely replace copywriters, but it will affect us (both good and bad)
#2 – Develop your copywriting skills and start learning how to use AI
#3 – Use your skills to create and sell your own digital products
Best,
Mk Akan
