Avoid this BAD copywriting advice
Yesterday, someone got roasted for giving bad copywriting advice in a copywriting group.
It happened after he posted this image in the group.
According to the image …the copy on the left is called writing…
And the copy on the right is called copywriting.
Well…
Many seasoned copywriters in the group quickly pointed out that the one on the left was better.
And I agree with them.
You know why?
Because the copy on the left reveals the content of the burger.
While the one on the right didn't say anything about the food.
It lacks CLARITY.
It didn't talk about what the target audience would like to know about the burger.
That's where it failed.
Remember , copywriting requires that you communicate your ideas in the simplest way possible…
So that your audience can understand instantly without any confusion.
Another important lesson here is this…
Your audience determines everything.
They determine your headline, the lead , your offer and even your stories.
For example…
I'm sure those who eat burgers would love to know what's in the burger.
They would likely ask questions like…
Is it healthy?
Is it delicious?
How is it made?
These are just a few questions the copy should answer.
With that said , here's a recap of the lessons from this email.
#1- Don't write copy without understanding your target audience.
#2- Copywriting is not about writing clever sentences or fancy words…
It's communicating with CLARITY to your target audience.
#3- Be careful who you learn from.
That's why I strongly recommend you get my copywriting programs.
I'll help you avoid these mistakes.
